August Actions
Inspired by our July guest speaker Dr. Pablo Ortiz-Partida, Senior Water and Climate Scientist for the Climate & Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists, here are 3 ways you can help mitigate the water crisis:
1. Share the Struggle & the Hope
Share with others how the water crisis and climate change have personally impacted you. Talking openly about how climate change is impacting our daily lives creates an emotional connection with friends, family, and neighbors. As we share the struggle, we can also share the hope. We can share the tools we have to change, and we can inspire each other to act.
2. Support Farm Workers
In this extreme heat and drought, farm workers are especially vulnerable and need our help. Learn ways to support farm workers through the UFW and the current march to Sacramento.
3. Do Your Part at Home
Audit your water usage at home. For quick tips on how to conserve water at home, click here.
