What We Do | The Climate Reality Project San Fernando Valley Chapter

The mission of the SF Valley chapter of Climate Reality is to take a leadership role to educate, motivate, and empower ourselves and fellow residents of the San Fernando Valley to engender a sustainable future.

Whatever your talents or experience, there are ways for you to help in the work to create a sustainable future. We welcome all SFV Chapter members to find their niche and contribute in whatever way they can!

COMMUNITY ACTION

Join efforts to develop and promote climate legislation in LA County, work toward a sustainable LA, pursue environmental justice, and protect the rights of nature.

COMMUNICATIONS

Create our chapter's monthly newsletter, educate ourselves and share articles and news via our website/social media, and keep our members up to speed on what's going on with climate change in the San Fernando Valley.

ENGAGEMENT

Give educational presentations, help with leadership training, reach out to community leaders and partner organizations, and promote education and awareness in our community.

REQUEST A PRESENTATION

Our chapter will provide a guest speaker to give a presentation about climate change to any group, for free! (Currently Zoom only)

ADMINISTRATION

Assist with our monthly chapter climate report, preparations and graphic/tech support for our chapter meetings, and distribute meeting minutes and notes to follow up.
