Inspired by our June speaker Peter Kalmus and his book Being the Change, here are 3 things you can do this month to live well and spark a climate revolution:

Ride a Bike! Not only does riding a bicycle reduce your carbon footprint, but it’s also good for your health. Instead of driving this month, bike to work, to the store, or to a friend’s place! Meditate. Having a healthy mind will help us have a healthy planet. Meditation reduces anxiety and depression, improves focus and memory, and strengthens empathy--all tools we need to face the tough challenges of the climate crisis. Do Something Kind for a Neighbor. We are all in this together! Connecting with our community will be essential in shifting to a biosphere focused society. Give produce, a plant, a reusable grocery bag, or a baked good. Invite them to a local community event or group. Make a donation or have a tree planted in their name. Or just smile and introduce yourself. Don’t expect anything in return!
