January Chapter Meeting--It's Time To Talk About Climate Change

We have watched in horror as events played out this week. It is one thing to understand intellectually that the effects of climate change will bring more frequent natural disasters, and another to watch it happen in real time in our neighborhoods.

It can feel lonely and terrifying to care about climate change when it seems like so many around you are able to ignore it, but it's not a battle you can fight alone. We at SFVCR are your community of like-minded people who care deeply about our planet and want to do the work to make change. Working together with focus and persistence is how we stop feeling powerless and start making progress.

We invite you to join us for a meeting on Tuesday Jan 14 at 7:00pm on Zoom, whether you've attended one of our meetings in the past or this will be your first. We'll be hosting an open discussion about our chapter's mission in the fight against climate change, some of our larger goals for this year and going forward, our experiences over the past week and where we go from here.

As always, please feel free to join the Zoom in whatever capacity you can: camera on or off, sharing your thoughts or just being present and listening to others', ready to dive into work or not even able to think about the next steps. Wherever and however you are, let's come together for an hour and remind ourselves just how many folks are out there working for a better future.
