About the event
Senator Caroline Menjivar and Climate Legislation in California
Action is the antidote to anxiety! If you're feeling anxious about our current climate situation and want to hear what our legislators are doing about it, come to our April chapter meeting with CA State Senator Caroline Menjivar. She's one of our climate champions in the California legislature and will share her perspective on the prospects for climate legislation this year.
Senator Menjivar represents Burbank and the San Fernando Valley in California’s 20th Senate District. She is a true Valley native: a first-generation American, daughter of Salvadorean immigrants, born and raised in the communities she now represents.
After we hear from Sen. Menjivar, our legislative team will give a short "Intro to the Legislative Process" presentation. You'll get an overview of the timing of the legislative calendar, learn where the action moments are, and hear about a few of our top bills for the year. Come find out just how much impact your efforts can have on our state's future!
