August Chapter Meeting--The Issue With Tissue

Please join us when we proudly host our very own Michael Zelniker from the LA chapter of Climate Reality as he discusses his documentary, joined by guests from the film. The movie documents the largely untold story of the boreal forest and the Indigenous Peoples who call it home and how it is being clear-cut for the manufacture of toilet paper, conveying the message that protecting and conserving the boreal is an existential imperative.

Told by the First Nations Elders and leading scientists and activists, The Issue with Tissue creates a talking circle that inspires our storytellers to speak with intimacy and candor about the issues confronting us all, sharing their enlightened, unified vision in combination with the age-old wisdom that can be found in the life of these forests and trees.
